I was born in the Year of the Rabbit. The first book I wrote was titled “When Gods Bleed” a novel which became my third novel to get published.
My first published novel was “The Seventh King,” a novel that sprang into my head after a nightmare I had while sleeping
on my father’s couch. I always had a love for stories but my mutation into a writer happened when I walked into a stranger.
I found himself in a seedy bar, what I was doing, there is a book for another day, I met a short plumb man playing with an
empty bottle of beer, I ignored the man but the man didn’t ignore me. The man walked over to him with his empty bottle and
said, “Let me tell you a story of the Benin Empire.” I was a sophomore in college with time to spare, so I said why not.
The man began the story, once he got me dangling to his every word, he said he was thirsty and quoted the Godfather,
needing to wet his beak. I was grateful to oblige, the man downed beer after beer, and masterfully ended cliffhangers as the
bottles echoed empty. After the man ended his story, I got up and left a pregnant writer, who gave birth to "When God’s Bleed".
The transformation from a writer to an author, took me over a hundred rejections, thousands of advices away from writing and
finding myself begging people to read my books for free.
Today, I am an author of 12 novels, with my books spread across every continent in the planet. I have the greatest support base of readers any author can ask for. I am blessed to be where I am, I float as an author on the shoulders of readers that make the words in my head exist in the minds of others.
